EDUCATION CITY
Education City is a rapidly expanding business supplying Internet-based core curriculum teaching to schools and parents. The company started out in 1999 and have hosted with ForLinux since 2005. In December 2006 Education City opened an office in the USA and the company sees big opportunities there for expansion.
Simon Booley, Proprietor: “Our products for schools and homes are all activity-based, so there’s lots of Flash-based activities. We have over a thousand, and we add to them on a weekly basis. We have about 6,000 subscribers in the UK and about 600 subscribers in the US. Schools subscribe to us for 12 months so it’s really important to us that we keep their business and that they come back to us the following year.”
