What does ISO mean to someone with a server?

ForLinux have recently been through and passed its third ISO re-assessment. But what does does this mean for the servers which we host? To start with we have the following in place which directly the effects the way we work day to day;

  • Having set procedures written down for all activities performed by staff
  • Regular internal audits to ensure compliance of procedures
  • ForLinux have a full disaster recovery plan to ensure that we can be back up and running to support you.

All of the procedures we have are regularly audited and all plans tested and reviewed. Also all ForLinux technical staff are fully CRB checked.

Now you maybe thinking thats great, but how does that benefit me? We have several customers who have local authorities as customers or are working with institutions who require pre-qualifition documents to be filled in before they could even quote to do any work. As ForLinux hold the following ISOs;

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management
  • ISO 27001 – Information Security
  • ISO 20000-1 – IT Service Management

we can help tick a lot of boxes and provide answers to the questions on your pre-qualifiction forms.
