Get LAMP Stack Up & Running On Your Apple Mac

MAMP (Macintosh, Apache, Mysql and PHP) will get you up and running with a working LAMP stack in minutes.

Simply go to http://www.mamp.info, click the ‘download now’ button below the grey MAMP icon.
Once the file is downloaded, extract the zip file then click on the MAMP pkg file to install to your OSX application directory.
From the spotlight search facility at the top right of your screen type in MAMP, take care not to select MAMP PRO. This will open the MAMP control panel.
Click on the ‘start servers’ button in the control panel, if apache server and MySQL server status indicators are green click the ‘open start page’ button.

If you see a MAMP page open up, congratulations – you have a great LAMP stack up and running!  Good programming!
