Patching; ForLinux will manually patch your servers, restart and check any services which have had updates applied. Depending on your requirements a custom test plan can be implemented ensuring that patching is controlled and audited.

Scripts and Coding; Unlike most hosting companies, ForLinux will not instantly dismiss your support request regarding third party scripts or your own code. Wherever possible assistance with the installation, configuration and debugging of scripts you are having problems with will be given. While we will not necessarily make any changes to your code we will make suggestions and also provide examples. Should you need any code producing or updating then we can quote for our in-house developers to do the work for you.

Proactive Monitoring; ForLinux run an optimised monitoring programme on all our managed servers which alert our technical team of potential server issues. ForLinux’s alerting thresholds are set to alert before a problem is allowed to escalate, resulting in ForLinux technicians investigating and resolving many problems before you or your users notice. The data collected from our monitoring system is stored for future reference, as it can be used to help spot recurring trends or unusual server activity and may also be useful when optimising your system.

We know you and your servers; At ForLinux you will always speak with a technician who not only knows how to resolve problems, but also who knows you and your server. Many support requests are dealt with by a single technician from start to finish. We are totally open, if you would like to know what was done to resolve a problem, we will talk you through fixes either on the phone or via e-mail so you have something to refer back to if needed.
